Ottawa County Fair Begins

PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) - Today is a microcosm of the 55^th annual Ottawa County Fair in that it starts slowly and quietly and builds to a loud crescendo. Gates open at the fairgrounds off of Ottawa Beach Road on Holland’s North Side at 3 PM, although there will be 4-H livestock showings and auctions beforehand. Fair officials say that the fun begins in earnest at 5 PM with the opening of the Big Rock Midway, and continues at 7:30 PM with a series of demolition derbies. The fair runs through Saturday night.
