UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is investigating several business/commercial break-ins that happened early Saturday morning. The businesses are located on U.S. 31 in the area of Ferris St and Lake Michigan Dr. Lieutenant Mark Bennett says that safes were broken into in a couple of the businesses. An unspecified amount of cash was taken and small electronic items were stolen. The front doors and windows were smashed, which is the modus-operandi in business break-ins that happened in Holland Township and Zeeland in early June. Bennett said the recent break-ins may be connected. Holland Police are working with area law enforcement agencies to develop possible suspects. Police urge anyone with information on the break-ins should contact their local law enforcement agency or Silent Observer.
