
UNDATED (WHTC) -- An accident in the early morning hours of Saturday in Robinson Township sent two people to the hospital. Sergeant Matt Wildfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. and only involved one vehicle. Cameron Gwaltney, a 19-year-old man from Covington Georgia, was driving and 21-year-old Ashley Schiller of Grand Haven was in the front passenger seat. The vehicle was westbound on Buchanan St. near 112 th when Gwaltney lost control and hit a tree. The vehicle came ot rest on it's side in the roadway and caught fire. Both the driver and the passenger were able to get out of the vehicle and took themselves to North Ottawa Hospital. Both have minor injuries and are listed in good condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident and the investigation continues.
