UNDATED (WHTC) -- There have been quite a few serious accidents across the Lake Shore in the past few days. An accident between two 18-wheelers this morning had the westbound lanes of I 196 in Zeeland shut down for a short time. The first truck was driven by 52-year-old Stephen Tucker of Gary, Indiana. The second truck was driven by 52-year-old Raymond Black of Lexington, North Carolina. Lieutenant Steve Kempker says the first truck, driven by Tucker, slowed and came to a stop because of traffic congestion. The second truck, driven by Black, ran into the rear of Tucker's truck. Both men suffered minor injuries in the crash and neither of them went to the hospital. The road was shut down while the accident and debris were cleared. Raymond Black was charged with failure to stop at a safe distance.
