UNDATED (WHTC) -- A fireworks incident in Jenison put one school on lockdown. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was called out to Jenson Christian School just before 3 P.M. this afternoon. Sergeant Valerie Weiss reports that deputies were dispatched to the school after staff reported several loud pops. Deputies found a 19-year-old Jenison man who had been setting off fireworks near the school.. The students and staff were never in danger and the school followed their safety procedures which are in coordination with the Sheriff’s office.
