ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department is reporting a residential armed robbery in Lee Township. Captain Frank Baker says deputies were dispatched at 5 a.m. Saturday morning and when they arrived the homeowner was detaining the would-be robber. The victim alleges that the 30-year-old male suspect forced his way into the home, stabbing the victim with a knife and demanding money. The victim was able to fend off the attacker and subdue him until police arrived. The victim’s wounds are not life threatening. The attacker is facing several charges and is lodged in the Allegan County Jail.
