UNDATED (WHTC) -- Several accidents, some involving 18-wheelers are being reported in the westbound lanes of I-196 near Zeeland. The Michigan Department of Transportation shut down the westbound lanes near Mile Marker 62 in the Zeeland area at about 12:45 P.M. Authorities are advising people to stay where they are if possible. If you do have to go out, dress in layers and make sure none of your skin is exposed to the elements as frostbite can happen quickly. A winter weather advisory is in effect through 8 tomorrow morning and the wind chill warning is in effect until 7 P.M. on Tuesday.
