GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) - Slow and steady can best describe short-term business growth in West Michigan, according to GVSU Supply Management Research Director Brian Long. His monthly survey of purchasing managers showed new orders gaining strength, but production eased modestly, and employment was promising. Dr. Long says that while the furniture industry is steadily improving, the outlook for auto parts makers is mixed.
