GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - A mandatory two years in prison was the sentence handed down yesterday to a 27-year-old Holland Township man accused in a shooting outside of a home in the vicinity of 17th Street and Central Avenue in Holland last November 7th. An unnamed victim wasn’t too cooperative with investigators after he was fired upon as he drove away from the area, and Holland Public Safety detectives believe that was because he had been in an altercation with Donald Cobb Junior over drugs, and the shots came as a result of the dispute. Nobody was wounded, and Cobb agreed to not contest assault and firearms charges in a plea deal with prosecutors; his sentencing was on Monday afternoon.
