UNDATED (WHTC) -- An accident in Holland Township early Wednesday afternoon sent three people to the hospital. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. VanderPloeg says a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Robert Mekkes pulled into the roadway from a private drive. He reportedly did not see the vehicle driven by 62-year-old Enrigueta Martinez and they collided. Mekkes had to be extricated from the vehicle. There’s no word on the extent of the injuries. All involved were wearing their seatbelts. The accident remains under investigation.
