GUN LAKE, MI (WHTC) - Although funding is apparently not an issue, considering the financial success of their casino in Bradley, the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians was still seeking federal technical guidance for planned sustainability efforts at their reservation in neighboring Barry County. That guidance is forthcoming after the tribe was one of 43 communities nationwide, and the only one in Michigan, to secure a spot in the EPA’s annual Building Blocks program. The agency will hold a one- to two-day workshop at each site in 2013.
