UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Macatawa Resource Center is a collaboration of non-profit organizations serving all ethnicities in Ottawa and Allegan Counties. Executive Director Leroy Hernandez says the latest project is to provide produce to those in need by constructing a high tunnel structure that is a less expensive form of a greenhouse. The tunnel will extend the growing season. Funding for the project has come from the USDA, Community Action House and the Ottawa County Food Policy Council. The Macatawa Resource Center is composed of 14 different nonprofits providing diverse services. More information can be found by calling 616-796-0440 or visiting http://macatawresourcecenter.org
