
HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Final Exam week ends today at Hope College, with resident students clearing out dorms at the end of an academic year. Yesterday, the school held a luncheon to honor retiring faculty members and staff who will “graduate” this year, including instructors Dr. Ion Agheana, Dr. Donald Luidens, Richard Pilppo and John Tammi that served Hope for a total of 133 years. Education Professor Susan Cherup, who has been on the Hope faculty for 38 years, was named the 15th annual Vanderbush-Weller Award winner for her strong, positive impact on the student body. More than 700 seniors are expected to take part in Hope’s 149th Commencement on Sunday.
