WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) - Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputy Ben Terpstra was named the county’s Outstanding Customer Service Award winner for the first quarter of 2014. His community service work in and around the Holland District Courthouse, where he is a bailiff, was cited. Terpstra is an 11-year veteran of the department, with past experience in the Ottawa County Jail, and he is also involved with the Michigan Outdoor Heritage Foundation.
