HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - A crash on Holland's North Side has created an electrical ripple along the Lakeshore. The accident shut down Lakewood Blvd. at Roost Ave. just west of U.S. 31 for the better part of an hour. Traffic was also backed up on U.S. 31 in both directions. As of 12:30 P.M., the roads have been reopened and traffic is flowing.
According to Consumers Energy officials, a car/pole accident off of Lakewood Boulevard at Roost Avenue reported around 10:45 AM knocked out power to about 1,600 customers of the Jackson-based utility. Crews expect to have the power restored by 12:30 PM. Ottawa County dispatchers say no injuries were reported.
