UNDATED (WHTC) -- The West Ottawa Board of Education has an opening. Current Board member Bill Kangas has served since July 2007. In a press release from West Ottawa Public Schools, Kangas noted in his letter of resignation that he and his family will relocate to northern Michigan. They will also be out of the area this summer for volunteer obligations. If you are interested in the seat, submit a letter of interest and resume to the Secretary of the Board. The hope is to have new member sworn in for the regular July 1st Board meeting. The person appointed will hold the seat until the regular November 2014 school election.
