UNDATED (WHTC) - Some things to look for on this Thursday along the Lakeshore:
The proverbial hatchet has apparently been buried by Spectrum Health and Holland Hospital, as evidenced by a five-hour Open House at 2 PM today to unveil a new 10 thousand square foot Spectrum Health Heart and Vascular Center on the hospital’s Michigan Avenue campus. Holland Hospital had vigorously opposed Spectrum’s absorbing of Zeeland Community Hospital into its network of facilities in 2010.
In municipal meetings slated for today: The Saugatuck City Council is seeking public input during its workshop on a proposed Fiscal 2015 budget for that Lakeshore community; the Holland International Relations Commission has a final session prior to Saturday’s sixth annual Multicultural Festival in Kollen Park; and the Holland Township board looks at a proposed six-year Capital Improvement Plan that would run through 2020.
