HOLLAND (WHTC) - Chances are you may have seen smoke over the weekend in the area where the new Holland BPW power plant will be built. Firefighters from the city of Holland and several neighboring communities took part in an exercise Saturday in the area of 5th Street and Chicago Drive. Officials say the exercise gave them an opportunity to train in a controlled environment. Also taking part in the drill were firefighters from Holland Township, Park Township and the city of Zeeland. Demolition of homes in the neighborhood for the power plant could begin next week.
