ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - A sordid story of teacher-student sex that stretched across the Allegan-Van Buren county line should reach its final chapter today.
Last July, Bloomingdale High School junior varsity basketball coach Adrian Ledesma had texted his cousin Jamie Ledesma the Second to meet him and an unnamed 14-year-old student at a home just north of the county line. The three then drove down a dirt road, where the two Ledesmas allegedly raped the girl.
Jamie Ledesma had agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors in exchange for testifying against Adrian Ledesma, but the coach, who was sacked by the school district after the two were arrested, also reached an agreement before his case went to trial. Jamie Ledesma was sentenced in March to between three and 15 years in prison, and a similar fate could be ahead for Adrian Ledesma, as he is sentenced this afternoon by Allegan County Circuit Court Judge Kevin Cronin.
