UNDATED (WHTC) -- The man running to take U.S. Representative Justin Amash’ seat received an important endorsement on Monday. According to Republican candidate Brian Ellis’ website, former congressman Pete Hoekstra announced his endorsement of Ellis, saying, “Brian Ellis will be a strong partner with Michigan Republican members of Congress to advance conservative solutions, including a balanced budget, keeping terrorists locked up in Guantanamo Bay and defending the right to life.” Ellis is looking to replace incumbent Justin Amash in the 3rd District Congressional race in the primary election on August 5th.
