HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - The group One by One has filed an appeal of a lawsuit dismissal with the state Court of Appeals. The litigation seeking to stop the construction of a truck stop off of Adams Street and I-196 was thrown out by Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Jon Van Allsburg last month, as he cited that Holland Township and Love’s Country Stores and Travel Stops had followed all legal procedures in obtaining proper zoning for the 13-acre site. The national chain looks to build a 10 million-dollar, 12 thousand square foot truck stop by next October, pending results of environmental impact studies that should be in hand later this fall.
