MARNE, MI (WHTC) - Efforts to find a hit-and-run driver that killed a 24-year-old Coopersville man last month have been bolstered by an additional thousand dollars in reward money. The family of Travis Lee Ryke made the donation as efforts by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Captain Mark Bennett and fellow detectives to locate the suspect since the July 25th incident north of Marne have thus far been unsuccessful. Ryke was walking along Arthur Street near 24th Avenue just before midnight when he was struck, as the vehicle apparently drove off without stopping. The reward money is being funneled through the Silent Observer program (877-88-SILENT; http://mosotips.com).
