
UNDATED (WHTC) -- A Holland Township man was arraigned today on charges of Felonious Assault, Felony Firearm Possession and Probation Violation, following a threatening incident at a north side Holland motel during the overnight hours on Sunday. Deputies say 28-year-old Juan Saul Casillas was brandishing a handgun while threatening his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend at the Value Place Motel. She was able to drive off without injury but did hear a gunshot while driving away. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Captain Mark Bennett says deputies were able to track the suspect down at a near-by residence.
Casilllas was injured while in flight. He was treated for minor injuries at Holland Hospital, than taken to the Ottawa County Jail. Deputies say that three unnamed persons in the house where the suspect was found. They were arrested on unrelated probation violation warrants.
