HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - Two men were hurt, with one of them licking his proverbial wounds in the Ottawa County Jail, after a hit-and-run crash on Holland’s North Side in the pre-dawn hours this morning. According to deputies, 44-year-old Nick Xaygnaphong of Holland Township was driving his pickup truck westbound on Riley Street between 112th and 120th avenues around 5:30 AM when his vehicle was slammed from behind by a SUV. The force of the collisions caused both vehicles to roll over. The 20-year-old Holland man driving the SUV ran from scene after the crash and was tracked down by a canine unit around 120th Avenue and Felch Street a short time later. Both the suspect and Xaygnaphong suffered bumps and bruises. The unnamed suspect is awaiting arraignment on various charges. The crash remains under investigation.
