UNDATED (WHTC) -- Bond was set on Friday for a Coopersville teen allegedly involved in a “swatting” incident. Police say 14-year-old Bryce Michmerhuizen is involved in which a 911 caller threatened “potential harm to students and staff.” They say he provided information to the caller, whose alleged threat on Sept. 4th caused a lockdown at Coopersville elementary schools. Michmerhuizen was in an Ottawa County courtroom after spending Thursday night in the Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center. Bond was set at $500. Michmerhuizen could be ordered to pay all costs resulting from the false 911 call.
