
HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - A 24-year-old man from Holland’s North Side awaits arraignment on armed robbery charges after allegedly holding up two persons from Grand Rapids at his home overnight. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Captain Mark Bennett, a 22-year-old woman and her boyfriend were visiting the suspect’s residence on Renwood Drive, off of Beeline Road near James Street, around 3:45 AM when the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money. The couple obliged, but was able to escape the home safely and called 911. When deputies arrived, the suspect was still at the scene and was taken into custody without incident. Others in the home at the time were initially uncooperative with deputies, with one of them arrested on an outstanding warrant unrelated to this incident. No names were disclosed, and anyone with any information on the matter is asked to contact Silent Observer (877-88-SILENT).
