HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Groundbreaking has begun on the triangle area at the south end of the River Ave. Bridge. A sculpture, “Celebrating Our Diversity,” is undergoing its final touches by artist. Cyril Lixenberg. Approval to rename the Bridge was given during Wednesday’s Holland City Council meeting. Phil Meyer of Community and Neighborhood Services says work is being planned to protect the sculpture.
The sculpture should be in place by the end of October.
