FENNVILLE, MI (WHTC) - The first of three “Candidates Forums” sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Holland Area this election season is in Fennville High’s auditorium this evening. From 7 to 9:30 PM, Republican Cindy Gamrat, Democrat Geoff Parker and Libertarian Arnis Davidsons will answer questions from a League moderator, as they attempt to explain why they should replace term-limited Bob Genetski in the state House when voters in Allegan County go to the polls on November 4th.
A forum involving state legislative races that include incumbents Amanda Price and Arlan Meekhof is next Monday at the Park Township Hall, and one for the state Senate in Allegan County is on October 28th at a site to be determined. No local debates have been set thus far for the state House race involving those wishing to replace term-limited Joe Haveman, or for either Congressional race involving incumbents Bill Huizenga and Fred Upton.
