
HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - A 33-year-old Holland man suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Holland’s North Side during the pre-dawn hours today.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Dean DeVries, Benjamin Sanvee was driving eastbound on James Street just after 5 AM, approaching the crossing for the Port Sheldon rail line spur near 132nd Avenue. Sanvee lost control of his vehicle, which then skidded to the left, flipped over and landed upside down on the tracks.
Sanvee was initially taken to Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital, and then flown to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
