UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Zeeland Public School District has some suggestions for parents and students to stay safe on the way to and from school. A teenager was struck by a car in the high school crosswalk earlier this week and last month, on Sept. 30th, 15-year-old Jonathan Bracamontes, a West Ottawa High School sophomore, lost his life early in the day while crossing U.S. 31 at Riley St. ZPS urges drivers to be alert and parents are encouraged to put reflective tape on their clothing or other reflective gear on their person. The Bracamontes family is asking for justice in their son’s death as the driver in the incident has not been charged. They plan a march tomorrow afternoon at 5 P.M., starting at the Civic Center and through downtown Holland.
