UNDATED (WHTC) -- The city of Zeeland City Council revoked the tax abatement for Consumers Energy earlier this month. Mlive is reporting that Ottawa County is the first municipality to join Zeeland in possible litigation against Consumers Energy. The decision to enter into a co-operative agreement was made during Tuesday’s Ottawa County Board meeting. Zeeland revoked the abatement after Consumers Energy filed a complaint with the Michigan Tax Tribunal over the assessment on their Zeeland facility.
