UNDATED (WHTC) -- The West Ottawa Public Schools Board of Education showed it’s appreciation of Superintendent Tom Martin’s skills by extending his current contract through 2017 and increasing his annual salary by about $8-thousand during Monday night’s regular meeting. According to a statement released by board President George Jacob, the gesture came after the budget was balanced, the teacher’s contract extended and the May passage of a $90-million bond issue. This school year marks the fourth year of Tom Martin’s tenure as the head of the West Ottawa district.
