HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - A 31-year-old Holland Township man is facing armed robbery and shoplifting charges stemming from allegedly taking beer and clothing from a department store on Westshore Drive this past Thursday evening. Detectives claim that Gustavo Oliveras-Sanchez drew a knife on a store security officer who attempted to stop him from stealing the merchandise. The suspect fled without further incident; the officer was not hurt. Images from surveillance video led deputies to Oliveras-Sanchez’ residence; he surrendered without incident there the following night. He is also the subject of a federal ICE investigation into allegedly being an undocumented immigrant. Oliveras-Sanchez is being held on 20 thousand dollars bond in the Ottawa County Jail.
