HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Although the goal of 2.3 million dollars wasn't reached, Greater Ottawa County United Way officials were still pleased with the outcome of the annual fundraising campaign that ended last night. Agency President Patrick Moran told WHTC News that many other aspects of the effort were encouraging, including increases in employee and individual giving, along with more volunteerism. The United Way raised $2.234 million over the seven-month-long campaign, 2.5% more than in 2012, and 97% of its goal.
