SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) - Efforts to have a ballot initiative pass in Saugatuck and Douglas to merge the two cities into a single governmental entity will be disclosed in a press briefing this afternoon. The Consolidated Government Committee, who has spearheaded consolidation by claiming savings and efficiency, will announce a campaign theme, logo and leaders. The State Boundary Commission is expected next Wednesday to certify an election.
