HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The Holland City Council has concluded its week of budget review sessions, cancelling a scheduled third evening on Thursday for looking over City Manager Ryan Cotton’s proposed 20.3 million-dollar general fund spending plan. During last night’s session, BPW General Manager Dave Koster went over the utility’s proposed five-year plan that includes recommended across-the-board rate hikes. Council will vote next Wednesday on maintaining the 9.65-mill tax rate; a public hearing and vote on the budget is on May 1st.
