
UNDATED (WHTC) - A final meeting before scheduled elections is on tap this evening for both the Zeeland and Saugatuck school boards. Those districts are asking voters to approve the annual 18-mill non-homestead tax for operations on May 7th. In addition, Zeeland wants a four-tenths-of-a-mill levy for recreational programs, while a similar request for a quarter-of-a-mill is on the Saugatuck ballot. That district is also asking for half-mill levies to pay for a 1.2 million-dollar technology & infrastructure improvement and for maintaining its’ sinking fund. Holland's school board also has its' monthly meeting tonight.
