HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Holland may be pausing for the Tulip Time Festival, but it appears that crime is taking no such holiday in the Tulip City. Public Safety officers were called to a downtown store in the 200 block of River Avenue yesterday afternoon on a report of a larceny. A man described as a light-skinned, black-haired, Hispanic, about 25 years old, with medium build, a thin beard and a crew cut, walked into the business and asked about items for sale near the front cash drawer. When the clerk went into another room briefly, the suspect opened the cash drawer, stashed some loot into a pink plastic bag, and fled on foot. The business had no survellence video cameras to capture any image of the perpetrator. Tips to Silent Observer (877-88-SILENT, http://mosotips.com) are welcome.
