LANSING, MI (WHTC) - The Michigan House of Representatives has approved the 2014 Fiscal Year Budget. House Appropriations Committee Chairman Joe Haveman, R-Holland says the investment in roads was a priority. He went on to say, “This budget continues our move toward smarter, more efficient government in Michigan. We worked hard to find a way to strengthen funding for key areas.” The 50 Billion dollar plan includes 230-million dollars for road improvements and more than 600-million dollars for the Michigan State Police.
