FENNVILLE, MI (WHTC) - The second annual “Never Forgotten” blood drive to benefit both the American Red Cross and the Wes Leonard Heart Team is today at the Fennville Community Athletic Center. Not only will donors help blood banks along the Lakeshore, but there will be AED demonstrations and other activities aimed at raising funds for the foundation started after the star Fennville High junior died two years ago of sudden cardiac arrest. There will also be signups for “Be the Match” bone marrow and “Gift of Life” organ donor registries during today’s event, with donors receiving a special Never Forgotten Wes Leonard t-shirt.
