UNDATED (WHTC) - Several issues of interest are on tap in separate monthly meetings on Tuesday.
Updates on several issues are on the agenda for this afternoon’s Holland Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. Members will get status reports on fundraising for Windmill Island and the America in Bloom competition bid; hear the latest on when a controlled burn in Macatawa Marsh to cut down on invasive Phragmites will be conducted; and go over the future of the venerable Holland Civic Center.
Meanwhile, Holland Township planners have a couple of proposed developments to consider during their monthly meeting tonight. One is from those who want to restart the 800-acre Macatawa Legends project that was sidetracked by the 2008 recession, with four communities involved. The other is a 132-unit, 400-person, five-building apartment complex that would be built on eight acres near West Shore Drive and Riley Street.
