UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Ottawa County Planning Commission will host an informational meeting to present both sides of the controversial practice of “fracking.” Hydraulic fracturing, which injects a mixture of water, sand and chemicals into oil and gas wells to improve their production has become a sore subject as exploration activity has increased in Michigan. In a news release announcing the seminar, the Ottawa County Planning Commission is hosting the seminar in response to numerous inquiries received from local leaders and residents about the fracking process. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Main Conference Room of the Ottawa County Fillmore St. Complex in West Olive.
