UNDATED (WHTC) - Two municipal bodies have biweekly meetings on tap for Monday.

During this afternoon’s Holland Board of Public Works board meeting, the panel will go over some budgetary issues for the Fiscal 2014 year that began a week ago, discuss some water main and sanitary sewer issues, elect new officers for the upcoming year, and go behind closed doors for a proposed property acquisition, possibly connected with the planned building of a new power plant to replace the DeYoung plant. Because of construction issues, the 4 PM board meeting will be in Holland City Council Chambers.

Meanwhile, trucks will be a featured portion of tonight’s Saugatuck City Council meeting. The panel is expected to approve a nearly 84 thousand-dollar allocation to buy a new dump truck to replace one that is 17 years old, with the purchase coming through the state’s MiDeal program. Another proposal is to allocate over 47 grand for specialized equipment to be installed on this newest member of the city’s three-vehicle heavy truck fleet.
