OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- An accident early Thursday afternoon AT 120TH Avenue and New Holland Street required Aero Med to take a victim to Spectrum Hospital. A 50-year-old Alabama woman, Judie Grant, received serious injuries in the accident. A Holland teen, 16-year-old James Driesenga, was the driver of the other vehicle in the accident, received minor injuries as did his passenger 16-year-old Alex Lozano of West Olive. Lieutenant Steve Kempker of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says that Grant was traveling eastbound on New Holland St. and ran the Stop sign at 120th Ave, running into a pick up truck driven by Driesenga. Grant’s van was overturned upon impact and rolled on to its side. She had to be extricated by Holland Township Fire department. Police say Grant was NOT wearing her seatbelt. Both teens did have their seatbelts on. The investigation continues.
