GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC) -- A construction accident Thursday morning in Georgetown Township on Jasper Drive near Zion Drive sent a man to the hospital. The 40-year-old Hudsonville man, Brian Segard, was working as part of an excavation crew on a new portion of road. Sergeant Jason Kik reports that Segard was in a ditch eight feet below grade when the walls collapsed, trapping him from the waist down. Coworkers were able to dig him out. Emergency crews stabilized by Segard before he was transported in stable condition to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital.
