UNDATED (WHTC) --
In an effort to make traveling easier this last holiday weekend of the summer, MDOT is suspending as much work as possible. MDOT’s John Richards says traveling should be a bit easier with the restrictions lifted. Beginning at 3 p.m. Friday through Tuesday morning at 6 a.m., traffic restrictions are being lifted on 96 of the 140 projects statewide. AAA Michigan estimates that more than one million people will be traveling this weekend in Michigan. Motorists are encouraged to check the MDOT website: michigan.gov/drive for the latest information for traffic incident alerts and additional construction information.
