UNDATED (WHTC) -- For the second time in two years, a Fennville woman has been convicted of mortgage fraud. Tonya Rasibeck was convicted in 2011 of two counts of false pretenses and one count of conspiracy to commit false pretenses. She was sentenced to one year in jail by Allegan County Circuit Judge Margaret Zuzich-Bakker. This time, Raisbeck is accused of scamming more than 80 homeowners in West Michigan. State Attorney General Bill Schuette announced her conviction today on one count of felony racketeering, a 20-year felony, for illegally operating an advance-fee “foreclosure rescue” operation. Free local assistance with foreclosure issues can be found by calling the Michigan State Housing Development Authority at 866-946-7432.
