GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - Sentencing is slated this afternoon for Justin McIntyre, who was convicted last month of second-degree child abuse. Prosecutors were able to convince Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Ed Post that the 23-year-old man violently shook his six-week-old son in late August at a Spring Lake home, causing brain damage to the child. The infant is recovering at the home of his mother. McIntyre could get up to 10 years in prison.
