ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) - Officials of Zeeland-based parts maker Gentex announced today net income of 39.6 million dollars for the final three months of 2012, down approximately two percent from the same time frame last year. Net sales were “flat” at 260.3 million, and earnings were just as horizontal at 28 cents per share. However, the gross profit margin for the quarter rose to 34.2 percent, primarily due to “production efficiencies.” For the year, Gentex had 168.6 million dollars in income and 1.1 billion in sales.
