GLENDALE, WI (WHTC) - Johnson Controls has sold its automotive electronics business to Visteon for 264 million dollars. It would involve about 48 hundred employees at seven research and development centers on three continents, but it was not immediately known how many of those at the East 32nd Street JCI Tech Center in Holland would be affected. Visteon officials say that the deal would not include any of Johnson Control’s manufacturing facilities in the Holland area. JCI sold off its Homelink Division last year to Gentex for 700 million dollars. This latest deal is pending regulatory approval expected sometime later this spring.
